North Padre Island Attractions
The number one attraction for visitors to Padre Island is its long stretches of beaches and tropical gulf waters. Along with a multitude of watersports to be enjoyed along the Gulf barrier Islands and its warm, inviting waters, there are many activities to participate in while on Padre Island.
There are many things to do while visiting the island. There are Horseback riding stables on the island for anyone who wants to take a leisurely horse ride down the beach. If playing golf is one of your past times, there are two golf courses on Padre and Mustang Island, one in Port Aransas and one next to the sclitterbahn waterpark on North Padre. For the little golfers and families, there is a miniature golf course just past the JFK causeway as you arrive on the island.
Of course, there are many other activities to do while on the Island that can be done with your own equipment or imagination. Walking or jogging along the beach is very refreshing and no equipment is required. Bike riding, which is very popular, is scenic and fun cruising down the beach. Sightseeing and bird watching are also very popular past times here along the coast of Texas and there are many species of birds that can be spotted here along this major migratory route up and down the coastal bend of Texas.
While on North Padre Island there are a multitude of activities to participate in. Whether it be sightseeing, biking, horseback riding or golfing, there are many things to do when you have finished your swim or walk on the beach. Whatever your favorite past time or exercise, the Island adds the perfect scenery and atmosphere to make your activities enjoyable and relaxing.
